Employee of the Quarter- Nishe Collins-Caire

OPCD’s Employee of the Quarter
Nishe Collins-Caire

OPCD believes in acknowledging our staff’s successes to help them develop not only professionally, but to also recognize their own true potential. With that goal in mind, OPCD has created the Employee of the Quarter Award to honor employees who go above and beyond to #SHOWUP for the City of New Orleans. Each of our Employee of the Quarter recipients are nominated by their peers for exemplary work and dedication to helping people both on and off the OPCD campus.

We are proud to announce that the recipient of OPCD’s Employee of the Quarter Award for the 1st Quarter of 2021 is Operations Manager, Nishe Collins-Caire!

Nishe began working at OPCD, in 2016, after the consolidation of Police, Fire and EMS dispatch services in the city of New Orleans. Her positive attitude, determination to succeed on the job and put citizens first, are just some of the reasons she was named Employee of the Quarter.

“I am extremely grateful to be recognized and appreciated for the job that I do,” says Nishe. “I recognize this win comes with great responsibility to continue to excel. OPCD goes above and beyond to show employees that they are appreciated, and I am very thankful for that.”

Nishe is taking this big win as a way to not only motivate herself to do better, but to lead her team to more victories. “My goal is to encourage my team to take advantage of all the opportunities the agency has to offer,” says Nishe. “There are so many of my coworkers who are great leaders or have the potential to become great leaders. I am willing to help anyone passionate about their career to excel, but I also want to continue to learn from leaders who have passed on their knowledge to me.”

Nishe believes her ability to stay focused and positive on the job played a part in her earning the title “Employee of the Quarter” and encourages her coworkers to continue to #SHOWUP while on the job. “Always try to do the right thing, remain humble, stay focused and have a positive attitude. It pays off and hard work does not go unnoticed,” says Nishe.

Nishe, thank you for your dedication to outstanding public service and your commitment to OPCD’s Mission of getting the right people to the right place at the right time. You are truly appreciated. #SHOWUP!
