During the Hurricane Ida Recovery

Donating funds and supplies for our first first responders
at the Orleans Parish Communication District (OPCD)

As South Louisiana continues to battle through the destruction left in Hurricane Ida’s wake, the Orleans Parish Communication District has been contacted by a wide variety of individuals and organizations looking for ways to help our Heroes Under the Headset.

We at OPCD are eternally grateful for the generosity being displayed by these kind donors who understand that, while the emergency communications specialists of New Orleans are proudly working around the clock to help those in need when help is needed most, they are also residents of our great city: mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, many with damaged homes and property, without electricity and fuel, and in need of basic supplies.

With this understanding in mind, OPCD would like to provide a clear-cut way for donors to offer support to our Heroes by supplying information on how to most efficiently donate funds and supplies to OPCD staff, along with a list of their most urgent, basic supply needs at this time.

OPCD thanks each and every one of you for your aid during this challenging time in our history, and we look forward to doing the work necessary, alongside you, to help our city get back on its feet again.

Donating Supplies

All supplies donated to our heroes will be provided directly to OPCD staff in order to enhance their living situation during the recovery from Hurricane Ida.
