Emergency Communications Technology Leader, Carbyne, Recognizes Patranka Jones as Headset Hero
Patraneka Jones, an integral member of the Orleans Parish Communication District, since March 2021, has always been driven by a passion for helping people. Whether it’s over the phone with citizens calling for help or in person with her peers, she thrives on connecting and assisting others.
One memorable instance was her swift response to an emergency call concerning an unconscious elderly female. With precision and calm, Patraneka guided CPR procedures, which led to the female regaining her breath. Outside the intense realm of her job, Patraneka enjoys unwinding with urban fiction novels and watching her favorite show, ‘The Chi.’ She’s also fond of shopping and spending quality moments with her kids.
A notable aspect of Patraneka’s approach is her ability to remain focused and composed, fully understanding that training scenarios differ greatly from real-life situations.
